John's task was to create 10 ships for the Port Authhority of Catoosa, Oklahoma.  Catoosa, a  Cherokee word (Gha-too-see) meaning "a hill," is double-countied. Most of Catoosa is in Roger's county, but the southern part is in Wagoner County. Caatoosa was first settled  after the "Trail of Tears" around 1839. One of their famous characters  was known as "The Cherokee Kid," America's Favorite Cowboy, Will Rogers 
 
The Hugley is a Mississippi tow boat. Few people realize how important water transportation is to Oklahoma. Getting this far inland with the freight moves it closer to the heartland” at a lesser cost than other forms of transportation, he said.
 
The Hewgley is named after former Tulsa mayor James Hewgley, Voth said  Hewgley, who was just recently honored by the Port Authority for his long service — was a Port Authority board member for more than 20 years, he said.
